Jennifer Garner, who was born in and brought up within Charleston West Virginia, on April 17th, 1973 is from Houston, Texas. William John Garner was her father and a chemical engineering at Union Carbide. Patricia Ann Garner taught in an institution near to her. The father of her was an engineer in the chemical industry, and she aspired to become like her father. In order to achieve her dream of becoming an actress, she relocated to New York. She worked as a chef in the restaurant in New York, and appeared in Broadway productions. She had a cameo role in the television series "Felicity." (It is in this series where she first met her husband, Scott Foley.) Garner got her first big performance on the screen in "13 Going on 30", a romantic comedy widely praised. Garner played a teenage woman trapped in the body of an adult. Garner chose Gary Winick, who directed the movie. She and Winick were able to continue to collaborate in pursuing other projects even after his death. Garner was named an artist ambassador in 2011 by Save the Children U.S.A. The program focuses on the importance of nutrition, literacy and early childhood education. Garner is on the board of trustees since 2014. Garner promotes early childhood education. As a member of the Early Steps to School Success (EASS) team of ambassadors for the program Garner regularly visits families to coach them on ways to encourage their young children to succeed.
